Ragan Group Members
Chemical Engineering and Materials Science University of California, Irvine
Professor Regina Ragan:
Prof. Ragan received her Ph.D. at the California
Institute of Technology working with Prof. Harry
Atwater in 2002. Her Ph.D. thesis involved kinetics and
thermodynamics of self-assembled nanostructures - experiment and theory. She
then joined the Quantum Science Research group at Hewlett Packard Laboratories
as a post doctoral scholar working with Stan Williams. As a post doc she continued
her work on self-assembled nanostructures and also studied organic/inorganic
interfaces. She has been at UCI since summer of 2004. Please see the research page

Graduate Students:
Aniketa Shinde - ashinde at uci.edu
Aniketa received her B.S. in Physics at UCLA in 2003. She is currently a
graduate student in the Physics Department here at UCI, with a
specialization in Chemical and Material Physics. She has been in Dr. Ragan's
group since the summer of 2005.
Sarah Adams - adamss at uci.edu
Sarah received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2006. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Materials Science and joined Prof. Ragan's group in the summer of 2007.
Xi Wang - xwang2 at uci.edu
Xi received her B.S. in Materials Science and
Engineering from Tsinghua University,
China in 2007.
Currently, she is a graduate student in Materials Science Program at UCI. She
has been working in Prof. Ragan's group since the summer of 2008.
Jennifer Asis - jasis at uci.edu
Jennifer received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego in 2007. She is currently a graduate student in Chemical Engineering here at UCI. She joined Prof. Ragan's group in the summer of 2008.

Dr. Sung-Soo Bae
Dr. Bae worked as a post doc researcher in Dr. Ragan's group from the spring of 2008 to the fall of 2009.
Sangyeob was a graduate student in Dr. Ragan's group from the winter of 2004 to the winter of 2009. Currently he is a post-doc at UCSD. Satoru Emori
Satoru worked as an undergraduate student in Dr. Ragan's group from the winter of 2007 to the summer of 2008. Currently he is a graduate student at MIT.
Dr. Ju Hyeon Choi
Dr. Choi worked as post doc researcher in Prof. Ragan's group from the summer of 2005 to the summer of 2008.
Human was a graduate student in Dr. Ragan's group from the fall of 2006 to the winter of 2008.
Jung Park
Jung was an undergraduate student working in Dr. Ragan's group and graduated in 2006 (Electrical Engineering). Subsequently, he is a graduate student at UC San Diego
